ABOUT ABOUT

Come join your ACE friends for a historic event… an event that marks multiple firsts for the South Central region! Be the first to experience our region’s first ever event to take place in two states! More important, be the first to experience the first regional event to include Frontier City in ACE’s history!

Wonderland in Amarillo boasts four coasters, Mousetrap--a Pinfari Zyklon 210; Texas Tornado--a unique Hopkins double loop coaster; Cyclone--an extremely rare Miler mouse, and Hornet, the Vekoma family coaster from AstroWorld, formerly known as Mayan Mindbender. Also on hand is a great assortment of unique water rides and traditional flat rides including a classic dark ride. Paul and Paula Borchardt will make everyone feel welcome with their west Texas hospitality.

Frontier City in Oklahoma City can be considered a coaster preservation showcase park. The park’s five coasters includes, Diamondback--one of the last classic Arrow shuttle loop coasters in the world (and was once one half of Lightnin’ Loops at Six Flags Great Adventure); Silver Bullet--a superb Schwarzkopf looping star coaster that once operated at the State Fair of Texas; Wildcat--a wood coaster that was saved from the now defunct Fairyland Park in Kansas City; Wild Kitty--an Allan Herschell kiddie coaster that came to the park from Elitch Gardens in 2013; and Steel Lasso--a super-comfortable Vekoma family suspended coaster (manufactured by Chance Rides in Wichita, Kansas). The park also has a very nice mix of flat, water, and dark rides all set with Wild West theming that is rare for a smaller park. While ACE had a national Spring Conference at Frontier City 24 years ago and the park invited ACE to its 2008 Steel Lasso media day, this will be the first ever regional ACE event at Frontier City!
